We are excited to let our members and supporters know that The New Friarage has been selected as one of 4 sites participating in the Hartlepool Mural Festival.

The project is being nationally funded and led by Hartlepool Art Gallery.
Working with a talented local artist, overseen by Lewis Hobson we will work collaboratively to develop a design that reflects the club, its rich history, rugby values and our strong community and family outlook.

Lewis Hobson, is a well established mural artist and members/supporters will be familiar with his work, many already featuring at a number of sites at the headland. Examples of his work can be seen at:

We will be announcing a number of workshops with Lewis and our nominated artist in the coming weeks. We will appeal to members, both young and old to help us shape the direction as this project moves forwards quickly to deliver a mural at the New Friarage.

The project will culminate with a gallery showing, demonstrations and celebration of the mural festival being held at Hartlepool Art Gallery, Christ Church, Church Street on June 28th.
